Your LinkedIn connections are your online net worth.

Let’s say you have 3,000 people in your network.

Half of them haven't posted in months.

Those dead connections?

They're killing your engagement.

They'll never see your posts in the first hour - which is when the algorithm matters most.

You know you should clean them up.

But manually checking each person would take forever.

Here's what most people on LinkedIn get wrong:

They think every task needs a system.

They spend 3 hours building an automation to save 30 minutes of work.

They collect tools like Pokémon cards - never actually using them.

That's not productivity. That's procrastination with a tech stack.

But here's the flip side:

Some people refuse to automate anything.
They wear manual work like a badge of honor.

"I personally check every connection. I do it the old way."

Then they spend 5 hours doing something a $50 tool could do in 5 minutes.

That's not hustle. That's just expensive.

What does this system do?

It actually saves time (those boring tedious tasks where you click each connection to check something about them).

Process:

ONE automation that filters your connections based on activity. Finds who posted in the last 30 days (or whatever criteria you want).

It moves active connections to a 'new' sheet.

Leaves inactive ones in the main list for you to manually remove connection from LinkedIn.

Without this automation you will need to check activity first for all people

This way you know when you click on the profile, they are not posting.

This means…

No guessing. No clicking through 3,000 profiles. Just clean data.

I tested it on 30 connections first.

Took 10 seconds.

Found 19 active people and 11 inactive.

(you have full implementation guide with video at the end of this newsletter edition.)

Cost per one run

For 1250 connections, here's the real cost:

- RelayApp annual pricing: $59 gives you 5000 steps. This equals 1250 connections because each connection uses 4 steps.

+OpenAI API costs to not spend RelayApp credits but instead control how much you want to spend with OpenAI will be : ~$5-10

Total: About $69 vs. min 5+ hours of your time (and possibility to boost your engagement and have active inbound system in case your content is good)

The tool I use is RelayApp.

(which is core part of my business,, as you can see in my Agent org chart bellow)

Important: Before testing this process, first download your LinkedIn connections. It may take about 3 hours to receive the email from LinkedIn.

Here is how:

LinkedIn Settings → Data Privacy → Get Copy of My Data → Archive Request = you get email from LinkedIn later (they say 24 hours, but it comes in 3 hours).

Then:

You connect your Google Sheet in RelayApp → Set your criteria. → Run the batch.

It scrapes LinkedIn activity, qualifies leads based on your filters, and organizes everything automatically.

You can also set up filters to follow people from certain cities, industries, or those who commented on specific posts.

Bigger Perspective

The thing is, this is one way how to filter your connections.

You can do it in many other ways by just changing the filter.

Examples:

  • filter connections by your ICP criteria

  • filter connections to see only people from the USA.

  • filter connections to see only people who work in healthcare

The possibilities are endles… and I just show you one way

Of course it's up to you.
(reply to this email how would you love to filter your connections and I will do another video.)
