Do you agree that discovery calls go nowhere?

If YES, let me share my experience.


When I say discovery call, I mean calls with your prospects, not networking calls, which are something different.

FACTS:

Last year, I took every call that came my way, hoping to convert them into clients.

Plot twist:
The moment I STOPPED taking most discovery calls, my income tripled.
(AND I SAVE A TONS OF TIME AS WELL)

Let me share something wild with you...

I used to pride myself on being "available"—jumping on calls with anyone who showed interest.

My calendar looked like a game of Tetris gone wrong. 😅 

I believe this meme best exemplifies my situation at the time.

But here's the thing I realized (the hard way):

Not every interested person is an ideal client.
Not every ideal client needs a discovery call.
Not every discovery call needs to happen NOW.

Here's the exact simple system I use to pre-qualify leads and only talk to people who are ready to buy:

1) The "Silent Filter" Method

I created a simple Tally’s form that asks 9 key questions.

This alone eliminated 70% of time-wasting calls.

2) Tally’s Form → Notion CRM

Once I set up the form, it is time to connect with my Notion CRM.

I connect that form with my Notion CRM and map all properties as questions from the form.

Use this CRM Template.

It is important to mention that “Map properties” in Tally are almost similar to those in Notion.

3) The "CRM Magic"

When somebody submits the form, I get all the info inside the Notion and qualify my leads by priority: “High” or “Low.”

In this case, I use myself as an example.

When I click on the lead and open a new page, I get all the information from my prospect who filled out the form.

I record the short video to follow this setup…

Result?
My close rate went from 20% to 75%.

Why? Because by the time we talk, they're already sold on working together.

Here's what one client said: "Your pre-qualification process made me want to work with you even more. It showed you valued both our time."

The best part?

This entire system runs on autopilot while I focus on serving my existing clients and creating content that attracts more ideal prospects.
