My Human-First Outreach
Break the Ice with Humor 🎭

Before you understand the GROW.
It is time for the FLOW.
Now , let’s grow
Have you ever connected with someone on LinkedIn and thought... "Now what?"
I used to overthink those moments.
Send the perfectly crafted follow-up.
Schedule the "value-adding" call. Do the whole professional dance.
Then one day, I just... stopped.
But before we go into the WHY I stopped, let’s understand the problem.
The Problem With Traditional LinkedIn Outreach?
Most people approach LinkedIn connections with the same tired formula:
Generic connection requests
Immediate sales pitches
Formulaic follow-ups
Zero personality or authenticity
The solution?
Just be yourself.
Talk to your prospects like you're chatting at a coffee shop, festival, or barbecue.
My Human-First Approach Examples
If you receive a connection request with the message, here is how I should approach.
Step 1: Break the Ice with Humor 🎭
Instead of the standard "Nice to connect" message, start with something memorable:
Template: Welcome to my world.
Usually I start my first conversations with my new connections by asking this:
What is your favorite business joke?
Here is mine:
[Insert your go-to joke]
Example:
"Welcome to my world! What's your favorite business joke? Here's mine: A local barber put up a sign, 'Get your $3 haircut here.' Seeing this, the barber next door put up their sign, 'Fix your $3 haircut here.'"

Why This Works:
Creates an instant pattern interrupt
Establishes you as approachable and human
Invites reciprocal engagement
Sets a positive, light-hearted tone
Stands out from the sea of generic messages
Step 2: Confirm the Connection 🤝
After they respond with their joke (most people will!):
Confrirm the connection.
Example:

Why This Works:
Acknowledges their participation
Creates a mini-agreement
Establishes rapport before any business talk
Makes the connection feel meaningful
Step 3: Ask permission to help🎁
Look for an opportunity to genuinely help with something specific:
Template: I noticed your recent post about [specific topic].
Would you mind if I [action help] it in [my style] to show you how I approach [my expertise]? Might give you some fresh ideas!
Example:

Why This Works:
Demonstrates you've actually paid attention to them
Asks permission rather than pushing advice
Offers something concrete and valuable
Shows your expertise without saying "I'm an expert"
Step 4: Deliver With Excellence and Fun ✨
When they say yes (and most will), go above and beyond:
Rewrite their content thoughtfully
Add humor or personality to the delivery
Use GIFs or memes to keep the energy high
Make them feel special, not like they're receiving a template
Example:

Conclusion:
No sales pitch. No "discovery call." No 47-step funnel.
Just human connection that felt refreshingly real in a sea of LinkedIn automation.
Here's the wild part - this wasn't a one-time fluke. I've now turned this into a repeatable system that's landed multiple clients without a single "let me tell you about my services" conversation
Remember:
Human approach wins over sales tactics
Help first, sell later (or never directly "sell")
Be consistently authentic and funny
DM like you're talking to a friend
Let the relationship develop naturally
Why does this work?
Because at the end of the day, founders don't want another vendor—they want someone who gets them as HUMANS with real challenges and ambitions.
That's exactly what my LinkedIn Content Repurposing System delivers.
