This is how I caught myself becoming a LinkedIn robot.
1 year ago, I was scrolling through my feed when I saw a post that made me stop cold.
It was MY writing style. MY framework. MY exact phrases.
But it wasn't my post.
That's when it hit me: We've all become the same person.
Here's what I was doing wrong:
I'd open ChatGPT every morning.
Type a structured prompt about: "Write a LinkedIn post about leadership."
Copy. Paste. Post. Done in 3 minutes.
Fast? Yes. Easy? Absolutely.
Smart-looking? Sure.
But here's the brutal truth...
I sounded like every other "thought leader" on the platform.
Because we were all using the same brain.
Then I had my wake-up call:
7 months ago, I had a client call that went sideways.
They asked me to explain my methodology on the spot.
No script. No AI. Just me and my thoughts.
I fumbled. Hard.
Because I'd been letting AI do my thinking for 6 months.
My presentation skills? Rusty.
My quick thinking? Gone.

That's when I discovered the rewriting method:
Instead of writing WITH AI, I started REWRITING my AI outputs.
Here's my exact 4-step process:
Step 1: Generate the skeleton
Pick one topic from my content pillars
Let AI give me 3-4 hook options
Choose the one that sparks something in me
Step 2: Answer the human questions
Who am I writing for? (Real person, not persona)
What emotion do I want to create?
What's my unique angle on this?
What story from MY life proves this point?
What is the one thing I want to pre-communicate? (this can be your hook already)
Step 3: Record myself explaining it
I literally talk to my phone like I'm explaining it to my best friend
Drop that transcript into AI
But here's the key: I tell AI my EXACT structure
My framework:
β Hook (stop the scroll)
β Real-life analogy (my signature move)
β Personal authority drop (one line of credibility)
β Main breakdown (the meat)
β Summary (tie it together)
β Engagement question
Step 4: Complete rewrite
AI output on the left screen
Blank document on the right
I rewrite every single line in MY voice
No editing. No tweaking. Total rewrite.
The results blew my mind:
My LinkedIn engagement jumped 180%. My newsletter replies tripled. But most importantly...
When I hop on client calls now, I'm sharp. When I present at workshops, I'm confident. When someone asks me to explain something, I don't fumble.
Because I've been practicing my thinking, not just my posting.
